We are searching for a qualified security candidate that will be responsible for performing operational functions, leadership to other Engineering and Operations teams, and security audits. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with corporate policies, standards and guidelines that govern information privacy, incident response, data access, integrity, and services availability.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage firewall policy lifecycle process from review, approval, implementation, publishing, verification and maintenance.
* Participate on a 24x365 'On-Call' security team that supports the enterprise network.
* Works with Engineering teams and other tier II groups to guarantee that corporate policy, procedures, and standards are executed to ensure the security and privacy of information on T-Mobiles data network.
* Implementing best practices to provide customer security, privacy, availability, and compliant with PCI, GLBA, SOX and other applicable laws.
* Responsible for troubleshooting a carrier class network.
* Document processes and procedures.
* Training/coaching of internal and external teams.
* Strong technical writing and documenting abilities, and verbal communication skills.
* Experience in supporting carrier class network environment.
* Knowledge and experience in incident response activities and compliance.
* Knowledge of current technological trends and developments in the area of information security.
* Ability to independently plan, organize, and prioritize tasks.
* Partner with Engineering and other support teams, and vendors to resolve problems or implementation of new products or services.
* Knowledge of the following technologies is required:
o Writing firewall security policies
o Security Event Management procedures
o Diagnostic tools such as IP packet capturing and decoding
o Operating Systems:
- UNIX - Solaris, HP/UX, SPLAT, or Linux operating systems
- Windows - Server operating systems
o Using security related tools, editors, and scripting
o Networking components including firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers, VPN, and etc.
o TCP/IP protocols
o Network IETF's RFC
* Very good understanding of security controls, monitoring systems, and business drivers that impact security policy and practices.
* Knowledge of SEC, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and or Gramm-Leach Bliley Act regulatory policies & guidelines
* Security authentication, security applications development methodologies (RFCs), and best practice for security architecture.
* Security operational procedures, organizational, business continuity skills, disaster recovery skills.
* Hands on experience working with products like CheckPoint (enforcement points and Provider1), Cisco (Routers, switches, VPNs and TACAC), F5(LTM and 3DNS), Nokia Security Platforms, Juniper NetScreen, and packet sniffers.

Requirements |
Qualifications & Competencies:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in information security / technology or related field
* The ability to work 'On-Call' is required
* Working knowledge in the policy and regulatory environment of information security is required
* Ability to work collaboratively across functional groups is required
* Security certification to include CCSA, CCSE, CISSP, or CISA is a plus
* Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
