Position Purpose
The Enterprise Architect is responsible for providing architecture, vision, problem anticipation and solving on an enterprise level. Designing creative and scalable systems and software solutions that address business/technical needs or challenges. Defines and maintains reference architectures and technologies and best practices for systems, applications and solutions including both in-house development as well as third-party offerings. Provides guidance and direction to business and IT teams to ensure compliance with standards and best practices. Evaluates and recommends technologies and techniques for applicability to T-Mobile business and technology operations.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop enterprise architecture artifacts including current state architecture, target state architecture, architectural roadmaps, referential architecture patterns and technology standards.
- Function as a solutions architect within the pre-project phases of an IT program, including the development or oversight of future state designs including technology, solution, information and business architecture.
- Assess the future state architecture for adherence to target state direction, or validate deviation justification and the recovery plans.
- Develop business, information, technical, solution specification documentation.
- Review and assess impact of proposed scope changes to the future state architecture.
- Interacts with company Senior management to effect solutions for enterprise business requirements
- Coordinate, review, and integrate the deliverables of information and technology architects into cohesive solutions architecture.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement training and documentation for IT enterprise architecture processes, procedures, and framework.
- Provide information/data technical leadership for the development, maintenance and support of the enterprise information architecture.
- Contribute to the overall alignment of IT delivery to the needs of the business.
- Assist in program intake planning, estimating, and scheduling.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Leads projects and feature sizing and scoping effort. Identify potential risk factors and dependencies for new features.

Position Requirements
Functional/Technical Skills:
* Experienced in leading the development of complex and large software systems
* Expected to bring an 'Enterprise
View' to IT projects while making architectural recommendations that balance cost, risk and value and align with Business, IT and the overall iDO Strategy.
* Demonstrates the following knowledge/experience
* Analysis and design.
* Systems integration methods and technologies.
* Performing complex analysis, consulting and providing recommendations to internal clients.
* Business processes, cross business unit initiatives, System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and best practices of quality management.
* Project management concepts.
* Demonstrated ability to prepare specifications/reports and explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
Experience:
* Minimum 8+ years in business environments
* Minimum 8+ years in multiple technical roles such as software or systems architect, engineer, developer
* Management, Team Lead, or other equivalent leadership experience
Education/Vocational:
* Minimum 4-year degree in computer science or related discipline.
* Technology and Design discipline certifications a plus
