THE TEAM
Dealer Financial Services (DFS) is responsible for credit, risk evaluation, collections, and cash applications relating to equipment purchases made by T-Mobile's retail partners (indirect dealers). As a Financial Analyst II, you will be part of DFS' Strategic Support Team (SST), reporting to the Strategic Support Manager. This team provides analytical and operational support to drive insights and improvements into the department.
THE ROLE
This role supports the reporting needs of DFS including ownership of a host of existing reports and the development of new reports designed to enhance the department's understanding of its operations. A key focus of this role will be moving beyond just the reporting of data, to truly understanding what the data is telling us, and then communicating those insights throughout DFS utilizing a variety of channels.
The role will work cross-functionally within the department, striving to understand the data needs of the operations groups, and partnering with the applications team to craft solutions to meet the identified needs. Additionally, the role will participate in various department projects and provide backup coverage for other members of the SST.
Specific job responsibilities include:
* Generate monthly operational performance reports and analysis for DFS management
* Generate periodic scorecard metrics for functional leaders in DFS
* Alert management to KPIs that are outside of expected parameters
* Evaluate current reporting to identify areas of opportunity and assume a leadership role in driving reporting improvements
* Provide ad-hoc research and analysis as requested
SKILLSETS
The successful candidate will possess a strong customer service focus which will translate into providing accurate and timely data that meets the department's needs. Another key attribute will be a natural curiosity about what drives DFS' operational performance. Analytical dexterity and excellent communication skills will provide the ability to search out and dig up the information needed from disparate sources.

Requirements |
QUALIFICATIIONS
* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, macros, charting, etc.)
* Familiarity with MS Access, Business Objects, and/or SQL
* Familiarity with SAP reporting or other enterprise software application packages -COGNOS, Hyperion, etc.
* Flexibility to work extended or weekend hours (on occasion, as needed)
* Flexibility to travel (on occasion, as needed)
* Bachelor's degree from four-year college/university or equivalent work experience
* 2+ years of analytical experience
* Wireless industry experience preferred
